This 17-month KOICA scholarship course at KDI School in Sejong, South Korea, trained government officials from KOICA partner countries in regional development and public policy.
It recruited for 2023, 2024 and Fall 2025. KDI School’s KOICA notice for the 2027 intake covers only its Economic Development Policy master’s, and no later intake for this course has been announced.
Benefits & funding
- Full tuition, a monthly allowance (KRW 999,000 in the 2025 guideline), round-trip economy airfare, dormitory housing, a settlement allowance, a completion grant and insurance.
- Selection costs (medical check, document authentication, courier, visa) are not reimbursed.

- Government official with an official nomination from their government.
- Bachelor’s degree, good physical and mental health, and strong spoken and written English.
- Barred: holders of an earlier Korean-government degree scholarship (bachelor’s awards excepted) and KOICA scholars whose award was cancelled.
- Under 40 and two years in the field are preferences, not limits.
