The K C Mahindra Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies is an annual interest-free loan scholarship from the K. C. Mahindra Education Trust. It supports Indian citizens beginning postgraduate study at selected institutions in India or at universities overseas.
The 2026 application cycle is closed. Eligible India-based courses were due to begin from June to September 2026, while overseas courses were due to begin from August 2026 to February 2027.
Benefits & funding
- The Trust states that it makes at least 50 interest-free loan scholarship awards each year.
- The top three K. C. Mahindra Fellows may receive up to ₹10 lakh each; other awardees may receive up to ₹5 lakh each.
- The funding is repayable rather than a grant, and applicants must provide a guarantor.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be Indian citizens.
- Applicants must hold a First-Class degree or an equivalent diploma from a recognized university.
- Final-year degree or diploma students may apply if they provide a final marksheet or provisional completion certificate showing First-Class results by the end of June.
- For the 2026 cycle, applicants had to enter an eligible postgraduate program in India from June to September 2026 or overseas from August 2026 to February 2027.

Application process
- 1Create an application through the KCMET scholarship portal during an open cycle.
- 2Complete the online form and upload the required academic records, identity proof (a passport for candidates applying to universities abroad; an Aadhaar card or a passport for candidates applying to universities in India), CV, test scores where applicable, statement of purpose, admission evidence or an application-status note, and at least one recommendation letter.
- 3Update KCMET after securing admission and confirm the final university choice to complete the application.
- 4If shortlisted, attend the final interview; the 2026 interviews took place in Mumbai.
