UCL Institute of Education and Windle Trust International offer one scholarship each year for online, part-time master’s study at UCL. It is intended for refugees, internally displaced people and others affected by conflict who are from East, Central or the Horn of Africa and live in Kenya, Uganda, Sudan or South Sudan.
The scholarship combines academic funding with leadership development and support from Windle Trust International. The official pages do not name the eligible UCL course, its length or a current application deadline.

Eligibility
- Be a refugee, internally displaced person or otherwise affected by conflict.
- Be from a country in East Africa, Central Africa or the Horn of Africa.
- If living in Kenya or Uganda, live in a specific conflict-affected area; residence anywhere in Sudan or South Sudan is eligible.
- Hold an excellent first degree equivalent to at least a British upper-second-class bachelor’s degree and meet any higher UCL course requirement.
- Have at least two years of professional or volunteer experience relevant to the proposed subject, completed after the undergraduate degree.
- Be able to demonstrate genuine financial need and inability to fund the study independently.
- Be able to study in English; an English assessment may be required.
