The International Postgraduate Excellence Award is a tuition discount from the University of Westminster in London for international students starting a full-time taught Master’s.
There is one round per intake: the September 2026 round has closed, and the January 2027 round is open until 30 November 2026. Awards go mainly on academic record.
Benefits & funding
- £3,000 off tuition for a one-year full-time Master’s; £5,000 for the 2-year Master’s with Integrated Professional Year Experience (January 2027 page).
- First academic year only, credited to your fees, not paid as cash; it cannot count towards the £5,500 deposit needed for a CAS.
- Living costs stay yours: the University suggests £1,334 a month for a single student.
- Recipients are expected to act as ambassadors (testimonials, recruitment events, the annual scholarship reception).
Eligibility
- Overseas fee status, registered as a full-time student.
- An offer for a full-time Master’s starting in the intake you apply for (January 2027 for the open round).
- At least a UK-equivalent good 2:1 honours degree; the University’s country equivalency chart sets the minimum grade.
- Not for professional courses (e.g. RIBA Part III), doctoral, online or distance, part-time, integrated Master’s, PG Certificate or Diploma courses.
- Not if you qualify for an alumni or partner-student fee discount.
Application process
- 1Hold an offer for an eligible full-time Master’s at Westminster.
- 2Apply through the University’s online scholarship portal by 30 November 2026 for January 2027 entry; late applications are not considered.
- 3Only one University scholarship can be held; agent and partner awards count towards that limit.
