SINReM is a two-year Master of Science on the sustainable management of mineral and metal raw materials, from exploration and extraction to recycling and the circular economy.
Ghent University (coordinator), Uppsala University and TU Bergakademie Freiberg run it together. The cohort moves through all three in year one, then takes a major at one of them in year two. There is no intake in September 2027; the consortium is exploring full scholarships for September 2028.
Benefits & funding
- Participation cost: €2,000 a year for EEA nationals, €9,000 a year for others, covering tuition, insurance and all teaching including the thesis.
- 50% of the fee is prepaid four weeks after admission.
- 2026 intake: a partial consortium scholarship of €15,000 for the two years (€625 a month), for EEA nationals only.
