The Global Vision Scholarship is the recommendation-based funding route attached to graduate admission for international students at Inha University, a private university in Incheon, South Korea. It waives the entrance fee and the whole of tuition, and the International Center caps it at 50 recipients per semester. Master’s and integrated-course applicants qualify either through a recommendation from a faculty member appointed within the past three years, or as Inha undergraduate graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 4.5 or above recommended by a prospective advisor; doctoral applicants need a recommendation from their prospective advisor at the Graduate School.
Recipients serve two semesters as a teaching or learning assistant and must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.75 out of 4.5. Applicants who are not selected, or who do not qualify at all, pass automatically into consideration for the Jeongseok International Scholarship, the university’s language-score-based award for the same group of students. The scholarship is decided alongside admission, so its calendar is the graduate international admission calendar: one intake for the spring semester and one for the fall.
Benefits & funding
- 100% of the entrance fee and tuition fees.
- Master’s and doctoral students: covered up to and including the 4th semester. Integrated-course students: up to and including the 8th semester.
- Up to 50 students selected each semester; within that number, 10 places per semester are set aside for the Inha undergraduate alumni route.
- No living allowance is attached to the award itself. Laboratory and teaching assistantships are a separate scheme at Inha, recommended by the department, paying between 1,100,000 KRW and 2,450,000 KRW per semester depending on type and degree level.
- Applicants coming from institutions that hold an educational cooperation agreement with Inha are handled under Global Vision Scholarship 2, whose terms are given to them individually.
- Applicants who miss out fall back to the Jeongseok International Scholarship, which pays 100%, 70%, 50% or 30% of entrance and tuition fees according to Korean or English test tier.
Eligibility
- Open to international applicants to Inha Graduate School in master’s, doctoral and integrated degree programmes.
- The international admission track itself requires non-Korean nationality: under Type A both parents must be non-Korean nationals and holders of dual Korean nationality cannot apply; under Type B the applicant is a non-Korean national who completed the whole of elementary, secondary and undergraduate education outside Korea.
- Master’s and integrated applicants, first route: a recommendation from an Inha faculty member appointed within the last three years.
- Master’s and integrated applicants, second route: a bachelor’s degree from Inha University with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 4.5 or above, plus a recommendation from the prospective academic advisor.
- Doctoral applicants: a recommendation from the prospective academic advisor at Inha University Graduate School.
- If more than 50 eligible applications arrive in a semester, language test scores decide who is selected.
- Applicants to the Creative Global Graduate School, and anyone applying for the Jeongseok International Scholarship, do not use this scholarship form.
- To keep the award: a cumulative GPA of 3.75 out of 4.5 at the end of each semester, and two semesters of teaching or learning assistant duty. Only assignments made through the Academic Affairs Team count, and the duty must be completed before graduation.
- Language of instruction varies by department. Some departments require Korean proficiency, others accept Korean or English, and two programmes are taught entirely in English: the Digital Business track in the Department of Business Administration and the Interdepartmental Program in Smart Governance Policy.

Application process
- 1Approach a prospective academic advisor or the department office at Inha Graduate School and secure the recommendation the scholarship is built on.
- 2Download the Global Vision Scholarship Application form from the International Center’s graduate Forms board.
- 3Apply for graduate admission online during the semester’s recruitment window. For the fall 2026 intake this ran from 14 April to 11 May 2026, closing at 17:00 Korean time, with an application fee of 105,000 KRW, about USD 100.
- 4Send the supporting documents, including the scholarship form, to the Global Talent Recruitment Team at the Kim Hyun-tae Inha Dream Center by the document deadline, which was 18 May 2026 for that intake; supplementary language scores were accepted until 13 August 2026.
- 5Attend the department interview, held 2 to 10 June 2026 for the fall 2026 intake, and wait for the admission result, announced on 30 June 2026.
- 6Complete registration in the tuition payment period, 6 to 12 July 2026 for that intake, then take up the two semesters of teaching or learning assistant duty during the degree.
