Official Page

The Heinrich J. Klein Foundation funds temporary scientific stays abroad for people in training and continuing education. IESE lists it as an external scholarship for its MiF and MiM students, while applications and selection are handled by the foundation.

The grant supports international scientific exchange. The trustees choose recipients and set each award amount, but the application site linked by IESE currently returns 404.

Benefits & funding

  • Financial support for a scientifically qualifying stay abroad lasting no more than 12 months.
  • The Board of Trustees determines each recipient’s award amount; no standard amount is published in the reviewed sources.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Swiss nationals and may be bachelor’s students, master’s students, PhD students, or researchers holding a PhD.
  • Plan a time-limited, scientifically qualifying stay abroad and have the host acceptance and practical arrangements in place before applying.
  • Students from all academic fields may be considered; natural sciences, engineering, technology, business, and economics are preferred fields rather than hard restrictions.
  • Show above-average academic results and a demonstrated commitment to international exchange.
  • Have very good English and, for a stay in a non-English-speaking country, working knowledge of a local language.
  • The reviewed official materials publish no residency, age, gender, or work-experience restriction.
