GOALS is a 120-ECTS joint master coordinated by the University of Lille and delivered with the University of Lisbon, Mykolas Romeris University, Nicolaus Copernicus University and LUNEX. Students study sport governance, management, leisure and events over four semesters.
All students begin in Lille, then follow mobility and specialisation options in Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Luxembourg or France. The final semester combines a work placement or research activity with a master’s thesis.
Benefits & funding
- Eligible EMJM scholarship holders receive €1,400 per month for 18 of the 24 months, €25,200 in total, plus a participation-fee waiver covering living, travel, accommodation and visa costs.
- For the 2026–2028 cohort, the main campaign limited full scholarships to applicants from Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo.
- Fee-waiver recipients pay no participation fee; self-funded fees are €4,000 per year for EU and associated-programme students and €8,000 per year for other students.
- Self-funded fees exclude visa, travel, books, materials and living expenses.
Eligibility
- Applicants from all countries may apply to the master’s programme; nationality is not an admission restriction.
- Applicants need a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, normally in sport management, management or business administration, or sport studies; final-year undergraduates may apply with an official enrolment letter and must provide the completed degree by 30 August if selected.
- Non-native English speakers need B2 English or an accepted equivalent, including IELTS 6.0–6.5, TOEFL iBT 88, Cambridge First or Advanced, or proof of at least two years of full-time study in English.
- The official accreditation report states that applicants who already hold a Master’s degree or PhD are rejected.
- Full-scholarship eligibility for the 2026–2028 campaign was narrower than admission eligibility and was limited to the six IPA countries listed above; other applicants could pursue fee-waiver or self-funded places.

Application process

- 2Enter one academic and one professional referee; each referee uploads a recommendation directly through an emailed link.

- 4If shortlisted, attend a 20-minute video interview covering motivation and critical thinking.
- 5The program combines the paper-file score and interview score equally, then places candidates on main or reserve lists and asks enrolled students to sign a student agreement.
