GE3 is Sapienza Università di Roma’s route into the Global Engineering Education Exchange, a consortium of 68 universities run by the Institute of International Education (IIE). Sapienza students take courses or do thesis research at a partner outside Italy, and the credits count toward their Sapienza degree.
Sapienza ranks applicants and sends its top 10 to the GE3 stage, where IIE assigns hosts. The 2026 call covered the first semester of 2026/27; no schedule for later calls is published.

- Repayment may be required if under 12 credits are recognised or the stay ends before 90 days.
Eligibility
