The scholarship funds selected first-year applicants to Constructor University’s BSc Software, Data and Technology program in Bremen. JetBrains Foundation offers it in partnership with Constructor University.

Selection has two stages: strong performance in one qualifying competition, followed by a live interview. The three-year degree is taught on campus in English and covers software development, data analysis, machine learning, mathematics and programming.

The 2026 scholarship application period is closed.

Benefits & funding

  • Tuition fees for the three-year degree, subject to continued satisfactory academic performance.
  • On-campus room and board, including accommodation and a full meal plan.
  • Medical insurance, the mandatory university fee and a semester public-transport ticket.
  • Pocket money of at least €300 per month for the first nine academic months.
  • Visa application and travel costs are not covered.

Eligibility

  • Apply as a first-year applicant to the BSc Software, Data and Technology program.
  • First-year applicants may be in their final year of high school, have completed high school or equivalent, or have university credit without completing two or more full-time semesters.
  • Meet Constructor University’s undergraduate admission requirements, including adequate English proficiency.
  • Submit the program application by the scholarship deadline, win a qualifying scholarship competition and pass the interview.
  • The official scholarship pages state no nationality or residency restriction.

Application process

    Apply to the BSc Software, Data and Technology program through Constructor University’s application portal.

    Upload the required undergraduate documents, a motivation statement, and certificates for relevant STEM extracurricular activities, Olympiads and competitions.

    Register separately for at least one qualifying scholarship competition; applicants may enter more than one.

    If selected through a competition, attend the roughly 40-minute interview covering motivation, prior experience, mathematics and programming tasks.

    Receive the scholarship decision, then complete enrollment and document checks if selected.
