Fulbright Vietnamese Student Program, Academic Year 2027–2028

The Fulbright Vietnamese Student Program is an annual U.S. Mission Vietnam scholarship program for Master’s study at universities in the United States. It is the Vietnam route within the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, whose country-level application and selection are administered by U.S. embassies or Fulbright commissions.

The Vietnam notice describes roughly 20 fully funded awards each year and accepts a broad range of academic fields, with medicine, dentistry, and nursing excluded. The program uses educational and cultural exchange to support mutual understanding between Vietnam and the United States.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Vietnamese citizens, may not hold dual citizenship, and must reside in Vietnam throughout the application and selection process.
Applicants must have completed at least one undergraduate degree.
Applicants must have at least two years of work experience after undergraduate graduation by the application deadline.
Applicants must present a valid minimum score of TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.5, TOEFL Essentials 8.5, or Duolingo 110.
All fields are eligible except medicine, dentistry, and nursing.

Application process
