Official Page

The China Education Association for International Exchange runs this exchange with France Éducation international and the cultural and education cooperation department of the French Embassy in China. It rests on a 2014 agreement between the Chinese and French education ministries to swap language teaching assistants.

Each year the French side sends French language assistants into Chinese schools and universities, and CEAIE selects Chinese graduates to support Chinese teaching in French schools. CEAIE gives the standing scale as 14 French assistants in China and 45 Chinese graduates in France; the 2024–25 cohort was 16 and 55.

About 900 assistants have taken part since 2014, across more than 100 schools. Recent placements sat in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Sichuan, Guangxi and Shandong in China, and in Versailles, Marseille and La Réunion in France.
