The Italian government sets aside a few scholarships each year for Master’s and doctoral students enrolled at Swiss universities. The award covers one or two semesters of study or research at an Italian university.

At the University of Zurich the route runs through Global Student Experience, the university’s mobility office. It reviews interested students and nominates the ones it cannot send to Italy through a Swiss-European Mobility Programme exchange agreement.

The final decision sits with the Italian embassy in Bern. Nominated students apply there, and the embassy awards the scholarships.
