Faculty runs this eight-week, paid, in-person programme in London to help people with advanced STEM training move into commercial data science. The first two weeks focus on technical and commercial training, followed by a six-week data science project with a host company.

Fellows receive mentorship and present their work at Demo Day. The October 2026 cycle runs from 5 October to 27 November, and applications for that cycle are closed.

  • Fellows earn the London Living Wage for the full eight weeks.
  • The programme includes two weeks of immersive lectures, weekly Friday masterclasses and ongoing mentorship from Faculty practitioners.
  • Fellows complete a six-week project with a host business and present it to more than 100 industry guests at Demo Day.
  • Faculty does not provide or reimburse accommodation or travel expenses.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must already have the right to work full-time in the UK because Faculty does not sponsor visas for this programme.
  • Participants must be able to commute to London daily and attend full-time for all eight weeks.
  • Faculty says it mainly looks for people with a completed STEM master’s or PhD, including postdoctoral researchers, plus data science or machine-learning foundations.
  • The target profile includes strong mathematics, Python programming, statistical-learning knowledge, project planning and communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
