The EU-LAC Social Accelerator’s Third-Party Financial Support call funds social-innovation projects that reduce inequality and strengthen social cohesion in Latin America and the Caribbean. The European Union finances the wider programme, while a multi-actor consortium coordinated by CAINCO operates it.
Applicants form nonprofit consortia to accelerate or implement initiatives with demonstrable impact. Projects should connect the social dimension of the EU-LAC Global Gateway Investment Agenda with a green, digital, fair and inclusive transition.
Benefits & funding
- Grants range from EUR 100,000 to EUR 250,000 per project.
- The current CAINCO portal lists EUR 3.6 million in total available grant funding after a July 2026 increase.
- Funding covers 50% to 95% of eligible costs.
- Projects run for 18 to 24 months.
Eligibility
- Applications come from consortia of nonprofit organizations legally established in the listed Latin American, Caribbean or European Union countries; this is an institutional call, not an individual award.
- Every consortium must include at least one entity established in Latin America or the Caribbean.
- Eligible applicants include civil-society organizations, sector associations, cooperatives and social enterprises, innovation centres, local authorities, universities and local public entities.
- Proposals must support social innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean and align with the social dimension of the EU-LAC Global Gateway Investment Agenda.
- The call gives priority to initiatives in acceleration or implementation with demonstrable impact, including work on gender equality, youth empowerment, social innovation and human rights in the private sector.
