The Swiss Study Foundation awards this excellence scholarship with the Ernst Göhner Foundation to financially needy, high-achieving students already in its support program. It funds bachelor’s and master’s study at a Swiss university across all fields except art and design.
The scholarship is internal rather than publicly advertised. Supported study may include periods abroad of up to three semesters.
Benefits & funding
- CHF 1,650 per month (since September 2024).
- Renewable support for up to six semesters, a maximum of three years.
- Ten renewable scholarships a year.
Eligibility
- Applicants must already have been admitted to the Swiss Study Foundation’s support program.
- Rule to check: the scholarship funds BA and MA study at a Swiss university (“an einer Schweizer Hochschule”, overview page), including up to 3 semesters abroad.
- All fields except art and design.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need and excellent performance.
- The public pages state no separate nationality, residency, gender, or work-experience requirement.
Application process
- 1If not already admitted, review the Foundation’s published admission criteria and apply through myStudienstiftung.
- 2Complete the Foundation’s formal dossier review and one-day assessment, which includes individual interviews and group discussions.
- 3After admission, follow the Foundation’s internal scholarship call; no public scholarship form or deadline is published.
