The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Economics of Globalisation and European Integration is a 120-ECTS programme taught in English by the EGEI Consortium. Students study economics, globalisation and European integration through academic coursework, applied activities and an internship.
The 2027–28 cohort is scheduled to begin at the University of Lille in France in early September 2027. To earn the joint degree, students must study at least two EU consortium universities outside their country of residence.
Benefits & funding
- Top-ranked applicants for 2027–28 will receive full Erasmus Mundus Scholarships; the site has not yet published the number or financial components for that intake.
- Eligible applicants who do not receive a scholarship may enrol as self-funded students.
- The programme carries 120 ECTS over two years and awards a jointly recognised master’s degree; the University of Tartu also awards a double degree.
- There is no application fee.
Eligibility
- Applicants must hold, or be completing, at least 180 ECTS at bachelor level or above in economics, applied economics or a related discipline.
- Applicants from related fields need about one full semester of economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics and quantitative study; applications below roughly 20–30 economics ECTS may be ineligible.
- English proficiency may be shown with TOEFL 90, IELTS 6.5, prior English-taught study or an assessment interview.
- The programme accepts applicants from all countries; residence evidence is collected for administrative and funding classification, not as a residence eligibility gate.

Application process
- 1When the platform reopens, complete the online eligibility survey before entering the formal application stage.
