Application Deadline

November 15, 2026

The Emory University Scholar Programs are merit scholarships for incoming first-year students, selected by Emory’s Office of Admission with faculty. The flagship is the Woodruff Scholars Program, offered at both entry points: Emory College on the Atlanta campus and Oxford College in Oxford, Georgia.

Scholars study for a bachelor’s degree with early course registration, dedicated programming and a scholars community. Oxford scholars move to the Atlanta campus for their junior year.

Benefits & funding

  • Awards range from partial to full; Woodruff Scholars receive full tuition, required fees, on-campus room and meals.
  • Renewable for up to eight fall/spring semesters, subject to the program’s academic and personal standards.
  • Emory College scholars can draw funding for unpaid internships, research and conference travel.
  • Oxford Woodruff Scholars must keep a 3.2 GPA and spend four semesters at Oxford; deferring enrollment forfeits the award.

Eligibility

  • First-year applicants, including homeschooled and international applicants, regardless of citizenship.
  • Applying for first-degree undergraduate entry to Emory College, Oxford College or both.
  • Awarded on merit, without regard to financial need; test scores are optional for scholar consideration.
