The Women in AI Fellowship is one of the EDSAFE AI Alliance’s leadership-development fellowships, designed to connect and empower underrepresented thought leaders in artificial intelligence (AI) in education. It is open to women technologists — those working in AI development, data science, or related fields — and women educational leaders such as administrators, teachers, researchers, and policymakers who want to apply their skills to safe, ethical, and equitable AI in education. Over 12 months, fellows learn from experts through interactive virtual workshops, build a peer-and-mentor network, and develop a collaborative capstone project addressing a real-world AI-in-education challenge. The program runs annually; the 2026 cohort numbered around 50 fellows.
