Croatian Brain Bee natjecanje 2026 is a national neuroscience competition for students aged 13–18. The Croatian Institute for Brain Research, the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, and the Croatian Society for Neuroscience provide the national program contact and venue.

Competitors begin with an online preliminary round on CARNET’s Loomen system. Students who reach the required score advance to the national competition in Zagreb, and the national winner represents Croatia at the International Brain Bee.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be 13–18 years old at the time of the national competition.
  • Applicants must have a good command of English because English is the official language of the international competition.

Application process

    Register for the preliminary competition through the QR-code application route by the published deadline.

    Complete the online preliminary competition through CARNET’s Loomen system.
  3. 3
    Reach the required preliminary score to advance to the national competition at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine.

    The national winner proceeds to represent Croatia at the International Brain Bee.
