FAI’s Conservative AI Policy Fellowship is an eight-week, part-time program for conservative policy professionals in Washington, DC. It develops practical understanding of AI and emerging-technology debates through expert-led discussions.
Winter 2027 runs from January 19 to March 12. Fellows attend 12 in-person sessions, complete a short policy memo or project with mentor guidance, and join a February weekend retreat.
Benefits & funding
- There is no participation cost; meals and retreat expenses are covered, subject to government ethics rules.
- Fellows are eligible for a $1,500 stipend. Government employees must obtain any necessary organizational approval and verify whether accepting it is permitted.
- The program includes expert sessions, a retreat, and mentor guidance on a short policy memo or project.
Eligibility
- FAI welcomes applicants across the conservative policy landscape, including policy practitioners, technology professionals moving into AI policy, and exceptional early-career applicants.
- No technical AI background is required.
- Participation is in person in Washington, DC; attendance at all sessions and the full weekend retreat is required.
- FAI publishes no nationality or degree requirement.
