Official Page

Coding Kickstarter Classes are beginner courses run by Code First Girls for learners building foundational technology skills. Learners choose Python, JavaScript, Data & SQL, or C# and work through eight online modules on the CFG Learning Hub.

The course is independent and self-paced, with videos, code-alongs, exercises, and quizzes rather than live sessions. It does not lead directly to a job, but its material can prepare learners for the CFGdegree technical assessment.

Benefits & funding

  • The course is free to learners.
  • Each track contains eight modules taking about one hour each, with up to eight weeks of access from enrolment.
  • Learners who complete every quiz and average at least 60% receive a certificate.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must identify as a woman, including trans women, or as non-binary.
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
  • No qualifications, coding knowledge, or previous technical experience are required.
  • Learners may participate from any country and need internet access plus a Mac, Linux, or Windows laptop or desktop that permits software downloads; Chromebooks and tablets are not compatible.
