Clark University, a research university in Worcester, Massachusetts, awards merit scholarships and need-based grants each year to a select number of international first-year and transfer undergraduates.
Every applicant is considered for merit awards automatically; need-based grants require Clark’s own international finance form. Scholarship sites list a “Global Scholars Program” with fixed amounts, but Clark’s current pages use neither that name nor those figures.
Benefits & funding
- Merit scholarships and need-based grants; most merit amounts are not published.
- The Presidential Scholarship covers tuition, room and board for 3–5 students a year, regardless of citizenship.
- United World College graduates can receive a need-based grant of up to $15,000 a year.
- Aid does not cover the full cost: the admissions page says international students typically pay around $40,000 a year after aid, against a total cost of about $85,000; the 2026–27 cost table lists $82,753.
- Need-based aid must be reapplied for every year.
Eligibility
- Applicants who are neither U.S. citizens nor U.S. permanent residents (green-card holders do not count as international).
- First-year or transfer applicants to Clark’s undergraduate programs.
- Admission is need-aware: Clark will deny an application on financial grounds if stated need exceeds the aid it can offer.
