The Chinese Government Scholarship supports international students pursuing graduate degrees at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. Graduate applicants choose either the Type A route through a Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country, or the Type B route through SJTU; duplicate applications across both routes are not permitted.
The 2026 Type B cycle opened on October 15, 2025 and closed on February 15, 2026. Type A schedules vary by country, usually falling between November and April, and the next SJTU cycle has not yet been announced.
