The Université Franco Italienne / Università Italo Francese supports joint projects between French and Italian universities. Each project combines reciprocal visiting-professor teaching, short mobility for students, doctoral researchers and postdoctoral researchers, and scientific or cultural activities. The program normally selects two chairs per cycle, although the number may vary with available funds and scientific quality.
Projects last two academic years. For the 2026 cycle, activities may take place in 2026/2027 and/or 2027/2028, and results were scheduled from June 2026.
Benefits & funding
- Each selected project may receive up to €33,000.
- Up to €24,000 may cover the two visiting professors’ remuneration and mobility costs; €6,000 per month is the indicative rate.
- Up to €9,000 in total may support student, doctoral and postdoctoral mobility plus eligible scientific and cultural initiatives.
- Cofunding is not required, but documented cofunding is a positive assessment factor.
