ICCCAD runs this year-long fellowship to build young people’s capacity in climate resilience and development. Fellows combine online learning with a residential workshop, field travel within Bangladesh, mentoring, collaborative projects, and policy engagement.
The 2026 cycle is for Bangladeshi undergraduate students or recent graduates aged 18–30. Applications are closed; the application form stopped accepting responses after the 30 August 2025 deadline.
Benefits & funding
- One year of capacity building, including a residential workshop, a field visit to a climate-vulnerable area of Bangladesh, and online classes.
- Opportunities to attend national and international climate conferences and engage with policymakers and decision-makers.
- Top-performing fellows may access small project funding for youth-led climate solutions; ICCCAD does not publish an amount.
- Mentoring, connections with fellowship alumni and other ICCCAD youth initiatives, and a certificate for completing the programme.
Eligibility
- Must be a citizen of Bangladesh and 18–30 years old.
- Must be an undergraduate student or recent graduate.
- Must have basic climate-change knowledge, strong motivation, analytical, writing, and speaking skills, demonstrated leadership, and willingness to learn and exchange ideas.
- Must be willing to travel for national and international programmes and field visits; climate-related work experience is an advantage, not a requirement.
