The British Council 90th Anniversary Research Fellowships are a partnership between the British Council and the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) at the University of Edinburgh. The scheme awards up to two postdoctoral fellowships a year to early-career researchers based in ODA-recipient countries where the British Council operates. Fellows spend ten months in residence at IASH in Edinburgh and then return home for up to two months of knowledge exchange. Research must align with British Council objectives across arts, education, the English language, international relations, soft power, international development, peace building, and cultural diplomacy; the Institute supports humanities and social-science work, not the hard sciences.
