Brain Bee Armenia — Course / Training

Brain Bee Armenia is the national round of the International Brain Bee, run by the COBRAIN Center at Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) with UWC Dilijan.

Round 1 is self-study on materials from the International Brain Bee; students who reach round 2 get a dedicated course, and the final has a written and an oral round. The winner represents Armenia at the IBB World Championship.

Benefits & funding

In 2025, finalists took a neuroscience preparatory course taught by YSMU faculty and toured COBRAIN laboratories.
The national winner advances to the IBB World Championship, whose top three receive US$3,000, US$2,000 and US$1,000 (details may vary by year).
The 2025 registration notice mentions no entry fee.

Eligibility

High-school students; the 2024 edition (run jointly with Georgia) named grades 10–12.
IBB rules: students compete in their country of residence, so entrants live in Armenia; no nationality rule is published.
Entering a second National Brain Bee or the IYNA Virtual Brain Bee in the same year leads to disqualification.
National champions over 19 cannot compete at the World Championship.
