Benefits & funding

• The national winner earns the route to represent Iran at the International Brain Bee World Championship.
• First place in the national competition receives a special trophy, a certificate of appreciation, and a prize valued at IRR 120,000,000.
• At the world championship, all competitors receive a certificate; first, second, and third place receive US$3,000, US$2,000, and US$1,000 respectively, with medals or a plaque.
• Registration costs 150,000 toman and covers entry to the examination only; preparation resources are obtained separately.

Eligibility

• The competition is for high-school students interested in neuroscience.
• IBB rules place students in the Brain Bee for their country of residence, so the Iran national route is for students residing in Iran; nationality is not stated as a separate requirement.
• The local competition accepts participants aged 13–18.
• A student may enter only one Local or National Brain Bee in a year; duplicate entry can lead to disqualification.

Application process

   Check the official Iran Brain Bee page when registration reopens on 7 October 2026.

   Create or use a Synapse account, pay the 150,000-toman examination fee, and complete registration through the official competition route.

   Prepare with the competition resources listed by the organizer, which are obtained separately from registration.

   For the first-stage online examination, use the link sent by email or text message and submit one final response.

   If selected, attend the second-stage competition in person in Tehran; the national winner proceeds to the world championship.
