The Bloomberg Journalism Program (USA) is a short, intensive business- and financial-journalism training run by the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media together with Bloomberg News and the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Over five days in New York City, university students learn the principles of reporting, editing and applied business and economic knowledge alongside Bloomberg News journalists and executives — including Matt Winkler, co-founder and editor-in-chief emeritus of Bloomberg News — and UNC and Berkeley faculty. It is aimed at students who are interested in a journalism career but are not already specialising in business journalism; no prior business-reporting background is required.
