Bhutan King’s Scholarship at the University of Cambridge — Master's Scholarship

The Bhutan King’s Scholarship supports resident citizens of Bhutan undertaking a full-time Master’s degree at the University of Cambridge. Cambridge Trust offers it with The Kidu Foundation, and recipients may study at any Cambridge College.

The award runs for the length of the selected course. The latest listed round was for 2026/27 entry and is now between cycles.

Eligibility

Be a resident citizen of Bhutan.
Apply for a full-time Master’s course at the University of Cambridge and hold the prior degree required for admission.
Demonstrate significant academic achievement and potential, as well as financial need.
Show a firm commitment to return to work in Bhutan after completing the degree.
Applicants may pursue any eligible Cambridge subject; priority is given to economics, education, engineering, environmental studies, international relations, law, management, mathematics and science, political science, public health and medicine, and public policy. Premium-rate courses such as the MBA and MFin are not supported.
