Fundación Carolina and Spain’s National Centre for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC) run these scholarships to train future cardiovascular researchers. The 2026–2027 call funded one place on each of three Madrid master’s programs: Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine (Complutense), Therapeutic Targets in Cell Signalling (Alcalá) and Biomedical Engineering (Polytechnic University of Madrid).
Scholars take the master’s, then complete a practicum and thesis with a CNIC research group, finishing around September 2027.
