VLIRUOS funds this ICP Connect scholarship for the English-taught Bachelor of Applied Computer Science (Digital Innovation track) at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences, Campus Geel. Students learn through projects with companies and real clients, then graduate in Application Development or Artificial Intelligence.
The latest round closed on 1 February 2026 for the September 2026 intake. Thomas More states that applications for the 2027–28 intake open on 1 November 2026.
Benefits & funding
- EUR 1,400 a month for 36 complete months, covering living costs, accommodation, health insurance, installation, indirect travel and tuition; the institution may pay some of these directly and deduct them.
- Economy flights to Belgium at the start and home at the end, plus one extra round trip during the bachelor’s.
- Keeping the award requires at least 42 ECTS after year one and 84 ECTS after year two.
Eligibility
- Nationality of one eligible country and residence in any eligible country at the time of application (not necessarily the same one): Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Morocco, Palestine, Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Haiti, Nicaragua, Peru, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam.
- At least 19 and no older than 35 on 1 January of the intake year.
- A secondary-school diploma or higher; a non-EU diploma granting higher-education access at home may qualify without recognition.
- One ICP Connect application per year, no other scholarship for this study, and no earlier Belgian-government study scholarship or Belgian higher-education enrolment before 1 January of the intake year.
- No work experience is required; people working in or aiming for higher education, government or civil society are preferred.
