Australia Awards Garuda Scholarships support Indonesian educators to pursue a Master’s degree in education or a related field at an Australian university. The Australian Government delivers the scholarship with the Government of Indonesia in support of the Garuda Schools Program.
The 2026 application round was for study commencing in Australia in 2027. It targeted principals and teachers at designated Sekolah Garuda Transformasi schools and a separate route for qualified prospective Sekolah Garuda Baru teachers.

- Pre-departure training in Indonesia, including English for Academic Purposes, plus a stipend during that training.
- Return domestic travel for pre-departure training and one-way economy flights to Australia and home after study.
- Master’s tuition and compulsory course fees, a settlement allowance, fortnightly living-cost contributions and recipient-only overseas student health cover.
