The ASEAN Youth Fellowship is an annual leadership development programme for emerging professionals from ASEAN member states. National Youth Council Singapore and Singapore International Foundation organise it to connect leaders across the public, private, and people sectors.
The 2026 edition combines a mandatory online briefing with an in-person residential programme in Singapore and Manila. Fellows take part in policy dialogues, institutional visits, learning journeys, networking, and cross-cultural exchange focused on regional collaboration and community impact.
Benefits & funding
- Organisers cover programme costs, including flights, accommodation, local transport, and meals.
- Fellows pay personal expenses, including travel insurance, hotel incidentals, mobile data, required vaccinations, and late flight or accommodation changes or cancellations.
- Fellows and alumni may later seek support from the Singapore-ASEAN Youth Fund or AYF Impact Fund for eligible collaborative initiatives.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be professionals aged 27–35 and citizens of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam.
- Applicants must be proficient in English and able to join the full programme, including the mandatory online briefing.
- Candidates should show an established leadership record in professional or community settings, values-driven action, meaningful community impact, and awareness of ASEAN.
- No degree qualification or residency requirement is published.

Application process
