The Anne van den Ban Fund, the largest named scholarship fund within University Fund Wageningen, supports students from low- and lower-middle-income countries taking a master’s at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands.

There is no scholarship application: once a year the fund’s board and the university choose from newly admitted MSc students, on advice from study coordinators and alumni. Partner funds (FANA, Gijsbert Oomen, Paul Speijer, Van Rumpt) award through the same procedure.

Benefits & funding

  • A full or partial award; your other funding (other scholarships, family support, income) is weighed in setting it (fund selection page).
  • The MSc scholarships page lists travel to and from the Netherlands, tuition and a living allowance for 24 months, plus visa and health-insurance costs.
  • Combined with the WU Fellowship Programme.
