The Young Global Professionals Program is the Atlantic Council’s spring and fall internship, run with its Millennium Leadership Program and HR team across 16 programs and centers. Participants support research, publications and events while attending masterclasses and career workshops.
Most roles sit at the Washington, DC headquarters, with a few remote roles inside the US. Spring 2027 vacancies opened on October 19, 2026, each posted by a single center.
Benefits & funding
- Paid internship; the Spring 2027 vacancies pay US$18.50 per hour.
- 19 weeks, part- or full-time at 30–40 hours a week (internships page); the Global Energy Center and Europe Center vacancies require 40 hours a week.
- Masterclasses, career-development workshops, tool training and networking with Council staff and fellows.
- No housing, though the Council shares housing resources on request.
Eligibility
- College juniors or seniors, graduate students, or recent graduates; high school students and volunteers are not accepted.
- Any nationality, but you must already be authorized to work in the US (CPT, OPT, or a visa sponsored by an outside organization or funder); the Council sponsors no visas.
- You must be in the US for the whole internship.
- Each vacancy adds its own qualifications and topic focus.
