The York International Transfer Award is an automatic entrance award from York University for the Fall/Winter 2026/27 academic year. It supports international transfer applicants entering a full-time undergraduate program at York in Toronto, Canada.
York assesses eligibility through the undergraduate admission and transfer-credit process; there is no separate scholarship application. The award is based on the final admission average and the number of transfer credits granted.
Benefits & funding
- C$2,500 as a one-time award.
- The award may be combined with faculty-based scholarships and awards, but not York’s prestigious scholarships.
- Recipients remain responsible for tuition and other study costs, including the C$2,000 non-refundable acceptance deposit required of undergraduate international students.
Eligibility
- Be admitted as an international transfer applicant with 24 or more transfer credits.
- Have a final admission average of at least 75%, or the equivalent under the applicant’s curriculum.
- Enrol full-time in a York University undergraduate program and pay international tuition fees.
- Accept the admission offer by the deadline in the offer letter and satisfy outstanding admission conditions within 30 days after the applicable term begins.
