The Women in Leadership Award supports incoming students in the Rotman Full-Time MBA who self-identify as female. Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto selects recipients on merit when making admission decisions.

Recipients join the in-person, 20-month MBA in Toronto, which combines 16 months of academic study with an opportunity for a four-month paid internship. No separate award application is required.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be incoming Rotman Full-Time MBA students who self-identify as female.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent academic and/or professional achievement; preference may be given for leadership and community involvement that advances women.
  • The standard Full-Time MBA route requires a recognized four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least a 3.0 GPA in the final year.
  • The standard route requires at least two years of full-time work experience; some combined-degree applicants are exempt from this minimum.
  • Applicants must meet Rotman’s GMAT or GRE and English-language requirements or qualify for a stated exemption.
  • No nationality or residency restriction is published for the award.

    Submit the MBA application with the required transcripts, test scores, resume, and two professional references by the chosen admissions-round deadline.

    Complete the two-question timed written assessment within seven days of receiving the invitation.

    Rotman automatically assesses the admission application for entrance awards; there is no separate Women in Leadership Award form.

    Selected applicants receive the award with their admission decision.
