Women in Finance and Tech Master Scholarship — Master's Scholarship

The Women in Finance and Tech Master Scholarship supports academically strong women entering selected finance and technology master’s programmes at BI Norwegian Business School. Eligible study is based at BI’s Oslo or Bergen campuses, depending on the chosen programme.

The award is intended for a candidate’s first master’s degree and is open to Norwegian and international citizens. The published 2026 cycle covered programmes starting in autumn 2026 and is now between cycles.

Benefits & funding

Full tuition fees for up to two years.
Renewal requires 30 ECTS of study each semester and at least a cumulative B average on BI’s ECTS scale after every semester.
Recipients must be prepared to serve as BI Ambassadors in recruitment and student-environment activities.
The published award lists tuition coverage only; it does not list a living-cost or travel payment.

Eligibility

Applicants must be women with Norwegian or international citizenship.
Applicants need a minimum overall GPA of 4.0 on the ECTS scale; BI converts grades from international education to that scale.
Applicants must seek their first master’s degree and receive an admission offer for an eligible programme.
Eligible programmes are Business with a Finance major, Business Analytics, Data Science for Business, Finance, Sustainable Finance, and Quantitative Finance.
Women in the third year of BI’s Siviløkonom programme may also apply.
No work-experience or age requirement is published.

Application process

Apply for an eligible master’s programme through BI’s online admission portal and request scholarship consideration at the same time.

Combine a CV or résumé and a scholarship letter of no more than one page into one PDF, then upload it under “Scholarship”.

Submit all admission documents and accept any admission offer; BI considers only material submitted with the original application.

Third-year Siviløkonom students instead email their CV and scholarship letter to BI with the required subject line. Applicants to the BI Presidential Scholarship or MSc International Scholarship are considered automatically without another letter.
