Official Page

The William P. Lauder Wharton Leadership Fellows program is a 16-month leadership development and coaching role run by the McNulty Leadership Program at the Wharton School. Fellows train during the spring of their first MBA year, return to Philadelphia before second-year Pre-Term, and then coach incoming first-year Learning Teams.

They facilitate team formation, serve as teaching assistants for MGMT6100, conduct individual sessions, and support team and cohort development through their second year. The program emphasizes learning through service, feedback, reflection, coaching, and facilitation.

Benefits & funding

  • Fellows receive intensive training in coaching, team formation, team performance, emotional intelligence, conflict conversations, influence, and facilitation.
  • The role provides practice in mentoring, team-process consulting, 360-feedback facilitation, and leadership programming.
  • The official pages list no stipend, monetary award, or separate participation fee.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be first-year Wharton MBA students preparing to serve throughout their second year.
  • Applicants must have earned B+ or higher in MGMT6100.
  • Fellows must complete mandatory spring training and return to Philadelphia by the end of the first full week of August for Pre-Term responsibilities.
  • Applicants need one recommendation from a Wharton peer who has observed their leadership; the recommender cannot be a Leadership Fellow, MGMT6100 staff member, or Wharton faculty member.
  • The official pages state no nationality, residence-country, gender, age, or work-experience restriction.
