Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) awards scholarships each year to attend its in-person technical conference of workshops, sessions, a career fair and networking. This page covers the 2026 edition, held March 11–13, 2026 in the Washington, DC area.
The latest call, for the 2027 conference at the Gaylord Rockies in the Denver area (March 17–19, 2027), closed September 30, 2026. The next call is expected around September 2027; no date is published yet.
Benefits & funding
- Conference registration with all activities and meals, plus two nights’ complimentary shared lodging.
- Recipients pay a US$75 processing fee for 2027 (2027 scholarship page); it was US$50 for 2026 (2026 scholarship page).
- A very limited number may get a US$500 travel stipend (US$100 if local), paid after the conference and not guaranteed; it requires any assigned volunteer or poster duties and attendance at the Friday stipend session.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be WiCyS members; for the 2027 conference all member types are eligible.
- The 2026 edition used six routes (Student, Faculty, Mentor, Military, Ally, Equity & Advancement), each with its own membership or role condition.
- Recipients must attend the entire conference.
- No nationality, residence, age, degree or experience limit is stated; the conference is open to all genders.
