WiCyS 2026 Scholarships supported eligible Women in CyberSecurity members attending the annual technical conference at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort and Convention Center near Washington, DC. The in-person event ran March 11–13, 2026 and combined technical sessions, workshops, a career fair and networking.

The 2026 application cycle is closed. WiCyS has announced that applications for the 2027 conference scholarship cycle will open September 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. CT.

Benefits & funding

  • Reduced-rate conference registration covering all activities and meals, plus complimentary shared lodging for the nights of March 11 and 12.
  • Recipients paid a USD 50 registration processing fee instead of the full conference price.
  • A very limited group could receive a post-conference travel stipend of USD 500, or USD 100 for local recipients; this support was not guaranteed.
  • Travel-stipend payment required any assigned volunteer hours or poster participation and attendance at the March 13 verification session.

Eligibility

  • Applicants had to qualify through one of six WiCyS routes: Student, Faculty, Mentor, Military, Ally, or Equity & Advancement Scholarship.
  • Student applicants had to be WiCyS Student Members.
  • Faculty applicants had to be WiCyS Faculty Members and either Student Chapter Advisors or faculty members who had not previously attended WiCyS.
  • Mentor applicants had to be WiCyS members and mentors in the 2025–2026 Mentorship Program.
  • Military applicants had to meet the published veteran, military-spouse, active-duty, membership, or proof-of-eligibility route.

  • The official pages state no nationality, residency, age, degree, or work-experience restriction, and the conference welcomes attendees of all genders.
