This 2026 placement is part of Özyeğin University’s Undergraduate Research Summer Program. One or two interns work on campus in Istanbul with Asst. Prof. Dr. Çağatay Edemen to model wireless environments and channel behavior in Unreal Engine.
The work covers realistic indoor and outdoor scenes, RF, optical and acoustic communication scenarios, parameter analysis, and digital-twin development. The default start is June 29, 2026, but the supervisor may adjust it; the placement lasts 4–8 weeks.
Benefits & funding
- The university provides laboratory access, technical training, supervisor guidance, accommodation, and lunch.
- The placement is voluntary; the official materials do not publish a salary or cash stipend.
- Interns gain practical experience in Unreal Engine, wireless-channel modeling, digital twins, simulation, and interdisciplinary research.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be enrolled undergraduates at Özyeğin University or another university in Turkey or abroad; no nationality or residency restriction is published.
- Basic knowledge of wireless communication systems is required.
- Applicants should be interested in physical-layer modeling and simulation and motivated to work across communications and virtual environments.
