Official Page

The University of Jeddah is a public university on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast. Its Administration of Scholarships and Student Exchange runs the university’s scholarship places for non-Saudi students, alongside its student exchange work.

Two routes exist. Non-Saudis already living legally in the kingdom apply on the internal route; applicants coming from abroad apply on the external route. Both sit inside the Ministry of Education framework that governs scholarships at Saudi public universities.

Awards cover bachelor’s study and selected master’s programs, and the university has announced graduate places for scholarship students in interior design, geographic information systems and industrial chemistry. Applications are filed on the Ministry’s Study in Saudi platform, and the university publishes each application window on its scholarship office pages.

Benefits & funding

  • Scholarship places at Saudi public universities are awarded at full or partial benefit level.
  • A full award under the Ministry framework covers health care, university housing, a financial reward on arrival in the kingdom, annual travel tickets, and use of university facilities.
  • A partial award carries only part of that package, such as a study place on its own or a place with housing.
  • Neither the university nor the Ministry publishes a monthly living allowance figure on the pages read for this record.

Eligibility

  • Open to non-Saudi students. Saudi nationals, and applicants with a Saudi mother, apply through the national unified admission platform instead.
  • Minimum age 17. The Ministry framework caps age at 25 for bachelor’s study, 30 for a master’s and 35 for a doctorate, so the ceiling depends on the level applied for.
  • The internal route is for non-Saudis holding legal residency in Saudi Arabia; the external route is for applicants outside the kingdom.
  • Graduate applicants need a bachelor’s degree graded at least “Good” from a recognised university, two academic recommendations from former professors, and at least 60 on the Postgraduate General Aptitude Test.
  • Non-Saudis entering University of Jeddah graduate programs must hold an official postgraduate scholarship.
  • Good conduct, medical fitness, a security clearance from the home country, and attested academic certificates are required.
  • The Ministry framework also records a mahram condition for some applicants.
