The University of Jeddah is a public university in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Its Administration of Scholarships and Student Exchange runs scholarship places for non-Saudi students under the Ministry of Education’s rules for public universities.
There are two routes: an internal route for non-Saudis living legally in the kingdom, and an external route for applicants from abroad. Both cover bachelor’s and graduate study, and applications go through the national Study in Saudi platform.
Benefits & funding

- The Ministry lists these benefits for external awards: health care, a financial reward on arrival, housing, the benefits other students enjoy, and annual travel tickets.
- A partial award gives only some of these, such as a study place alone or a place with housing.
- No monthly allowance figure is published on the pages read.
Eligibility
- Open to every nationality except Saudi. Saudis, and applicants with a Saudi mother, use the national unified admission platform instead.
- Internal route: non-Saudis with legal residency in Saudi Arabia. External route: non-Saudis applying from outside the kingdom.
- Age 17 or over; the Ministry caps age at 25 for bachelor’s, 30 for master’s and 35 for doctoral study.
- Graduate applicants: a bachelor’s graded at least “Good”, two academic recommendations and at least 60 on the Postgraduate General Aptitude Test.
- Attested certificates, a home-country security clearance and a medical examination are required; the Ministry also sets a mahram condition for some applicants.
