The Undergraduate Ellison Scholars programme, run by the Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) in Oxford, fully funds exceptional students from around the world to read for an undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford. Alongside their Oxford studies, scholars spend roughly ten weeks each long vacation (summer) interning on EIT innovation projects tackling global challenges — across health and generative biology, food security and sustainable agriculture, climate change and atmospheric CO₂, and artificial intelligence and robotics. Candidates apply for the scholarship and to the University of Oxford through Oxford’s separate admissions process; both must succeed to take up a place. The number of funded places is expected to grow each year.
