The Travel Grant helps Society for Endocrinology members attend the Society’s events or overseas endocrinology meetings for professional development. Overseas awards are limited and support travel that adds activities such as a lab visit or departmental seminar.
The destination and event dates depend on the applicant’s proposal. The current deadline is 8 October 2026, including applications for SfE BES 2027.
Benefits & funding
- Up to £600 is available for Society for Endocrinology events.
- Up to £750 is available for non-Society international endocrine events requiring overseas travel.
- Conference payment requires evidence of an accepted abstract; workshops and events without an abstract call are exempt.
- Recipients must submit receipts after the event and a report on the timetable stated in the award letter.
Eligibility
- Applicants must belong to a Society for Endocrinology membership category other than Student Member.
- Continuous membership must cover at least 12 months before the deadline, reduced to six months for Early Career members.
- For overseas travel to a non-Society international event, applicants must have attended SfE BES at least once in the previous three years.
- Applicants must confirm that their current post will continue beyond the proposed grant completion date.

Application process

- 2Describe the event, location, dates, abstract status and any additional work-related activity.
- 3Provide a 100–200-word benefit case and an itemised GBP budget with cost justification and other funding.
- 4Complete the declarations about grant history, post duration and data use.
