The Texas Tribune runs paid fellowships across its nonprofit digital newsroom and supporting teams. Fellows work on public-service journalism, audience engagement, data visuals, engineering, events, communications, development, photography, product, design or reporting.

Spring and fall fellows work part-time from January to May or August to December, while summer fellows work full-time from June to August. Placements include Austin, Waco and Washington, D.C., and work arrangements vary by role.

Eligibility

  • Summer applicants may be currently enrolled college students or recent graduates.
  • Role-specific qualifications apply; for example, some design, data, engineering and reporting tracks ask for relevant technical skills, deadline experience or a portfolio.
