The Tamer Scholarship — Bachelor's Scholarship

For 2025/26, The Tamer Scholarship supported one overseas-fee student from one of five eligible countries to complete a full-time undergraduate degree at University College London. The newer dedicated page covers all undergraduate degrees, while the IOE listing still describes an earlier 2024/25 Media BA version.

The award is based on financial need and runs for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. UCL directs applicants through its Global Undergraduate Scholarship process; the latest Tamer-specific deadline published was 28 April 2025.

Benefits & funding

Approximately £53,000 per year for three years.
UCL applies the award to tuition fees first and pays the remainder as a maintenance allowance.
Continuation depends on satisfactory academic progress.
One award was available for 2025/26.

Eligibility

Be a national of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Ecuador, or Syria.
Be eligible for the overseas tuition-fee rate and come from a low-income background.
Have submitted an admission application for a full-time UCL undergraduate degree for 2025/26.
No age, gender, residency, or work-experience requirement is published.

Application process

Submit an application for a full-time undergraduate degree at UCL.

After UCL confirms overseas fee status, sign in to Portico and open the funding section for the active application.

Select the Global Undergraduate Scholarship route, complete the required financial information, and submit a separate funding application for each UCL programme.

Keep the automated confirmation email and provide financial evidence if shortlisted.
