The de Groot Visiting Fellowship is run by the American Library in Paris, an English-language lending library, with support from the de Groot Foundation. The Library’s fellowship has run since 2013.
Each year two Visiting Fellows spend one month in Paris on their own project, working in the Library and giving a public program. Writers, researchers, journalists, poets, screenwriters, playwrights, directors and documentary filmmakers can apply.

- US$5,000 stipend, paid before the residency, for travel and costs in Paris
- One month, any time September–June (not July or August)
