Official Page

The Alexia Grants page is a gateway rather than one award. The Alexia, based at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, supports documentary photographers and filmmakers worldwide.

The hub brings together professional and student Vision grants, independently sponsored pop-up grants and student mentor grants. Applicants must review the current child grant because funding, themes and selection conditions differ.

Benefits & funding

  • The parent hub does not provide one standardized award.
  • Child grants offer their own combinations of project money, equipment, study opportunities, workshops or mentoring.
  • Award amounts and non-cash benefits must be checked on the relevant child grant page for the current cycle.

Eligibility

  • The parent hub has no standalone applicant category.
  • Professional and student routes are separate, and themed grants may add project-specific conditions.
  • Applicants should use the eligibility rules of the child grant they select.
